The exercise about the description of the animals is an easy activity to do, but very effective. Last year I work as an auxiliary and used to do many games with them (all speaking) and this was one of their favourite. When they are young they do not have much vocabulary, so the easier the activity the better. On top of that, speaking about animals is always a good option, they like them, they know them and they enjoy telling their classmates which is their favourite one. Therefore, this activity is a good choice. In addition, they can start using very simple sentences like, my animal is… they can get familiar with the verb to be, the verb have…and vocabulary like long, big, small and the parts of the body.
